So I’m going to Fanime again this year, ad i’ve decided that I’m ring to costly, finally.
Current plans are to costly as America, dr. horrible, and goon batto. The last is th most difficult for obvious reasons.
progress so far:
my friend is possibly lending me a safari jacket for america and i already have a blond wig, so I’m waiting to see what happens with that
Dr. Horrible is rather easy. Apparently it is so popular that all i had to do was search for a howie lab coat on amazon and everything else i needed showed up as well.

Ogon bat is driving me mad, because i cant decide which one to do:
or
either one that i decide on ill likely go with this mask
any advice on how i can improve these i welcome. so what are thoughts?
But choosing to eat meat absolutely makes you a bad person.
Like, without question. Just a total shithead.
don’t give a fuck, animals are delicious.
So if you haven’t figured out by now, i am not the most organized of peoples, nor the most linear thinker. Something else you might have missed is that i changed my posting to every other friday without telling anyone.
I’ve noticed that these personal updates get in the way of the important stuff, mainly the story, so I’m not going to do tim together anymore, hopefully if i remember. but right now this post directly ties in to the topic at hand. Namely because i got inspired to write a clip today from my exalted story after reading lot of Keychain Of Creation.
“Stay close to me, I can not guarantee the stability of this region out further that a few yards,” Thresh gestured to his companion, a young Raptok just coming into his own and given into his care.
“This close to the Wyld, I’m surprised your charms are holding up. What are you hoping to find out here Thresh? Why are we doing something so Tremendously stupid as actually walking into the wyld? Why won’t you tell me your plan?” The Raptok punctuated each question with a Stomp of its foot. He was already well on his way in The Solid Earth Path and the stabilized ground beneath him shuddered at his urging.
“We don’t have time to stop now, my Charm only lasts for the hour and you can’t easily survive in this Level of Wyld. When we make it to the temple I’ll explain.”
“And you can?”
He shrugged, “I used to be Fae-Blooded, the wyld don’t effect me like it should.”
The Raptok would not easily yield though and maintained his position, “I can survive easily enough, and if need be you can recast the charm.”
Thresh smiled sardonically, “ I had hoped to save up some Essence, we don’t know what we’ll encounter when we get there. There is a pocket of creation surrounding the temple, But we have no idea why, and anything could be living there now.” Seeing that the Raptok was not persuaded he sighed and started to sit down, “Have you decided on what you want to go by, until you get your memories back that is.”
The Raptok shrugged and began to seat himself, “I don’t see much of a point, I’m starting to remember things from my past life, I’ll use that name when it comes to me. “
Thresh snorted, “A few months ago you were little better than a Stalker, it could be years before your Essence get high enough for you to have a real recollection of your past life.” Once again recognizing futility he sighed and chuckled to himself, “I swear, you must have been an Anglok in a past life.” The Raptok’s feathers rose slightly and thresh chuckled a bit at his expense, “Well I’ll call you Rap for now, Just to make things easy, It was the name of the main character in a book I read once.” The Raptok grunted, and Thresh took that as a sign of acceptance. “So Rap, What exactly is it that motivates you, I mean why the hell are you coming with me?”
Rap stood up straiter, stretching his neck out to its full length, trying to think of an adequate response, “You know why, I want to wake the other Sleepers, and revive the potency of my race,” pointing his fore claw at thresh, “Your my best opportunity to accomplish this goal.”
Thresh smiled, “I know, I just wanted to hear you say it, but thats also why were here. You see I’m trying to prove something. Thats my motivation.
Rap tilted his head slightly, “Could you elaborate.”
Thresh laughed, “Well basically I made the mistake of thinking that everyone in Great Forks was as … enlightened as my colleagues and I. Ahh, they weren’t, and when I announced my hypothesis that their was no fundamental difference between any creature in creation, and thats when they tried to make me shorter by a head, fortunately fate stepped in.”

SOMEONE PLEASE DRAW KORRA IN A SUIT.
Yessss.
so much love for this right now!
So, I spent all of Saturday at Khaotic Kon, as you guys may know. It was totally awesome! Great! I had a blast! But, something happened that I never really expected to have happen to me at a con. Its one of the main reasons my parents are worried about me going to these in the first place. With all the people around it might seem like a lot of fun, but sometimes we forget that anyone is allowed in cons, no matter who they are.
Below is a story, and its also a warning to any girls -or guys- out there. I found myself in a really scary position, and we had to have the guy reported to con security.
Even if you don’t take the time to read it, I just want to get the word out there that I’ve seen this man around before, and I worry that he will try to do this to other girls.
Note to self, refrain from getting awesome Pokemon tattoos and grow hair out. Seriously though this guy sounds like a major creeper, and gives the rest of us dudes a bad name.
Hey guys, this week I’m trying something a little different. In stated of writing about my normal story concepts I’m going to go on about a home work assignment for my history of manga class.
Above I’d a picture of the rough draft story lard for the first page of the comic that I’m writing for HoM. The assignment is to create a comic that relates to what we have learned so far in the class.
In my comic I will be incorporating topics like what manors a comic, mcclouds definition of sequential art from his book understanding comics. I will also be including the rise and fall of the comic book industry in America, the many varied genres of manga, and at the end I will be explaining my favorite genre of manga, gekiga, by killing the generic main character.
When I first was given this assignment I immediately thought back to some of my favorite we comics from the past in order to help me figure out how I wanted to do this assignment, and my thoughts immediately settled on Bob and George, but more importantly the author of that comic David Anez. The reason why he was such an interesting author was because h actually included himself in the comic, and the characters knew that he was the author of their comic, and it was incredibly funny.
Taking more from The Author, I have decided to do the same in my comic short, where I as the author will be entering the comic to try and explain to a confused omic book character what he is and why he is that way, right before I shoot him in the head with my Hand Gun whilst yelling gekiga. Then I plan on rapping it up by having yoshihiro tatsumi’s character, hiroshi, come in and assist me in mowing down a hoard of zombies.
For those who haven’t read the autobiographical memoir, a drifting life, by yoshihiro tatsumi then it would probably help you to know that hiroshi is the character he uses to represent himself.
So have any of you guys ever worked on any kind of comic, if so let us see them, I’m really curious to see how other people hands the whole creating stuff bit.
Sup guys. Its friday again, and i have no idea how my time is just slipping through my fingers. I go back to school on monday and it seems like i haven’t had any time off at all. I desperately want for my vacation to be longer because I’m just not prepared to go back right now. To be honest this is only adding to the amount of stress I’m feeling right now, and lending favor to my considerations of taking a semester off next fall. I’m genuinely tired of using my brain constantly with no amount of physical work at all. I just go to school and memorize things while trying my best to take competent notes sitting at my desk listening to to the teacher go on and on.
Some times this isn’t so bad, some times my teachers are genuinely interesting, other times i feel like the main character from office space. Maybe i just need to see an obese fat man die and all my problems will be solved, but right now I’m definitely leaning more towards taking some type of mindless job that promises lots of physical exercise.
Anyway on to what this is actually about. Talking about my hack stories and allowing myself to feel like a sophisticated writer while still remaining a poor college student.
Today I want to discuss my story Newtype. I enjoy this story because it lends itself best to my idea of wanting to go in a Gekiga direction. To put it bluntly, nothing good will ever happen to these characters, and if it does it will likely be snatched away and revealed to be temporary, much like the endings to many of my favorite/most hated Gainax anime.
I haven’t decided how i want to frame this story yet, whether it be a real time story progression or a reminiscing type of deal like in the name of the wind; however the story does take place over a long period of time, so if i don’t go with the reminiscing pattern then i will likely adopt Feist’s method of simply skipping over large swaths of unimportant time to get to the good bits. Honestly when I first read his Magician series i was very much “lol wut”, but then i realized that it was an awesome structuring tool an i enjoyed it very much. Also my intention for this story has always been for it to be a graphic novel format closer to manga styling than to american comics, which will fit in nicely with my Gekiga plans.
On to the story portion. As i aid in my first post about this story several months ago, i was originally influenced by the anime Blue Gender. It was m first taste of potential future dystopian society, as well as the aspect of placing individuals from the past in the far future that is majorly F—-ed, and primarily because of them. However the story will have very little to do with the first moments experienced by the main character in the period directly after his long sleep. It will focus more on a period at least a couple hundred years after this. You see like Blue Gender the main character, as well as a few others, will have a strange disease that is incurable by modern medicine, and as is the case with most examples of scifi cryogenics, they will have themselves frozen in order to preserve their lives until a cure can be discovered.
Long story short, rather than finding a cure, they make it worse, like they always do, and instead of being a non contagious disease, it become highly contagious and highly virulent. It kills off almost 80% of the earths population, with the remaining 20% being divided into Surviving infected and immune carriers, with the former being only a fraction of the population. This is nothing special on its own, but those that fall into the surviving infected group are not exactly what you would call human any more. Much like the Monmow Disease from Tezuka’s “Ode to Kirihito” the infection will have altered these people dramatically, sometimes in a way of physical appearance, and sometimes in other ways.
My idea for this is that the disease, in its more tame form, has existed since the evolution of man, and may have even set that evolution on its path in the first place. The result of this is that it is solely responsible for almost every account of mythology that ever existed. Sirens, Demons, angels, cat girls, all of them are a result of this singular disease that effects individuals in a way to make them look non human, and sometimes monstrous. One of the key aspects of this new variant of the disease however is that those infected with it breed true. Those of my followers who pay exalted already understand what this means, but let me give a brief explanation. In the past, those affected with this disease, although their outward physical appearance and mental processes would be greatly effected, their genetic structures would remain wholly intact and their offspring, if they had any, would look exactly as they would have before the individual would be infected. Now this is different, either because the exact variant strain of the disease is passed parent to offspring, or because the disease changed the genetic makeup of the infected individual, haven’t decided yet.
Lets head on back to the main character of this story for a second. As I said He and his compatriots have been frozen in cryostasis, hoping that this would slow the effects that the mutagenic disease had been having on them. This works out in part, because it prevents their physical forms from altering any further due to the effects of the disease, however it does not halt the alteration of their mind in the least. So you have a disease that likes to change things, trapped in a body that it can not change for hundreds, or thousands of years. The idea of this is that over this time until the disease runs its course shortly before they are awakened, it alters their minds in such a way that when they do revive, they find themselves with incredibly godlike powers. This will lead to complications that take place before the main story. Basically when the main story takes place our main character is the only godlike being left, and lives in a state of self exile as he waits out the days unit he dies.
More on this later guys. Til then.

Hello everyone. I apologize that I’m posting this late this week, but part of me is still reeling from my midterms last week and i’ve been trying to recover over the past couple of days. I’d like to say that i did wonderfully on them, but I’m pretty sure that i didn’t despite hours of studying. Professors all probably think that they are doing you a favor by putting their midterms before the spring break, but in reality all they are doing is making sure that I have five midterms at once and am deprived of a week long opportunity to study for them.
Aside from that i was able to get some Warhammer 40K in this friday in the first time in weeks, and played some exalted for the first time in months. Now that 2.5 has finally come out and my ST has reviewed it thoroughly, we are finally planning on a serious playing schedule. So I’m feeling pretty good. Aside from that I’ve been reviewing the Exalted books, specifically terrestrial direction: the west. I’m doing this to help develop the backstory for the Exalted story I’m working on right now.
Other than this i do not have anything else right now for you. I apologize for my irresponsibility in my promise to you that i would update every friday, but I ask your leniency giving my heavy school load at the moment.
Thanks guys, til latter.

I’ve been wondering for a while now, are there any good books out there for world building that have a good focus on culture, world physics, and language?
